An Error Occurred While Reconnecting

I am using 64-bit VMware Workstation (6.0.4 build 93057) to assist in the transition from WinXP Pro (32-bit) to Ubuntu (8.04, host OS version 2.6.24-19-generic). In WinXP, I was using a separate partition as logical drive E, called DATA. In VMware, I have used VM > Settings > Options > Shared Folders (always enabled) to add this drive. In Windows Explorer, I have mapped this drive to drive E and called it Data, and have accepted the default "Reconnect at logon." It has appeared in WinEx as "Data on '.host\Shared Folders\ (E:)." But after rebooting and trying to access it, I get this message in the WinXP VM: "An error occurred while reconnecting E: to
.host\Shared Folders\DATA. VMware Shared Folders: The network name cannot be found. This connection has not been restored." I have previously tried removing and reinstalling VMware Tools. That has not fixed the problem.

Does this mean that I will have to recreate that shared relationship each time I reboot?
