We use linked clones to move send out changes to base vitual machines, which are locked down and cannot be changed. I was hoping to convert the delta VMDKs in the linked clone folder to a streamed VMDK, both for compressions to preserve bandwidth, but also to ensure integrity of the files. Is this possible with the toolkit, as certainly with vmware-vdiskmanager it currently isn't doable?

Unfortunately, there is no straightforward way to enumerate just the changed blocks in a redolog/delta disk

But I am curious about your flow, can you please elaborate? For example, after you send over these compressed delata disks, what happens at the other end?

Thanks
