• Our client in N Dallas is looking for a Solaris Administrator with VMware experience. Experience with SAN would be a plus. Candidate would be working 25-30 hours a week, nights and weekends, flexible hours.
• VMWare - ESX experience required.
• Build, configure, deploy, support, and maintain SUN servers running Solaris as well as hosted applications from an OS perspective.
• Resolve complex hardware and software integration issues, interfacing with database administration, software development, network support personnel, and vendors to coordinate solutions.
• Create periodic status reports for management
• Senior Level experience with most of the following: Scripting (Bsh, Ksh, Perl, etc.), backups, Disaster Recovery, storage/disk arrays, Sun Solaris (versions 8, 9, 10), Sun Hardware (e.g. SunFire, Enterprise Class)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with management, peers, and vendors
