Hi,

I have 20 x86 Servers and each server connected to storage having multiple volumes which in turm mappe/used by users for their respective application's.

I am looking for a solution in which if any one server fails the volume's in that server should be available to users.

I any one has solution kindly update.

Hello,

You could use some form of clustering technology.... MSCS for Windows servers and RedHat Clustering (or similar) for LInux systems.

You could use a file sharing solution.... CIFS/NFS

You could use a form of data replication.... rsync for Linux systems. DuoCor, DoubleTake for Windows.

You could use hardware replication built into a SAN/NAS device.

Lots of choices here.

you could also investigate DFS and DFS replication, this would also reduce the need for multiple disparate drive mappings
