Just need a little help.

I downloaded this Ubuntu and have it running, but the user name and passowrd doesn't work! I try the user name "user" and password "user" in lower case as mentioned on the vmware website. but it doen't long in.

I'm wondering if its a case that I am using 102 keyboard on a KMV Switch and when I type user its other keys that get inputed? Right now, I am typing this message on my mac mini on the web and all the keys on the keyboard seem to work with no problem. I have unzip this file and simply opened with fusion.

Keyboard seem to work fine, I must admit that me and passwords dont get a long well.

Appreciated any help or comments.

Just a warning about this VM. It is built on a Type 6 SCSI VMDK. This work fine under VMware player but it won't start under VMware Server.

I use the VMware Server environment by preference. I got around this by bootstrapping through VMware player, manually editing the VMX file to remove the unneccessary Virtual HW, and repackaging the System image onto a type 4 IDE VMDK. However, this sort of stuff isn't for the novice, so I haven't included details of what I did here.

It's just a pity that it wasn't built to be VMware Server compatible in the first place.

I have tried all the passwords that I could think off. I seem that if we want Ubuntu, it will have to be install manually. The download is not accessable without the password.
