When is the next meeting? It's been since November 6th. Considering all that's going on lately, we need to get together more often if you ask me.

The stock has nose-dived and Microsoft is making big news regarding their Hyper-V release.

So come on, let's get cracking!

I would like to work with folks to arrange the next few meetings - I have many nice venues worked out and a few big vmware vendors, customers and third party vendors already lined up.

Unfortunately with my new position with CompuCom (a VMware partner) I had to step down as co-chair of the VMware user group. The VMware user groups have established by-laws that state a partner cannot be in an official user group leadership position so Bruce is your POC for any user group matters. I still plan on being a part of the user group but cannot serve in a leadership position. I look forward to seeing you all there...

Wow, that's awesome... and encouraging. I miss the folks at my old job (and am going to deeply miss being involved with the VMware user group) but absolutely love this position and what I do. This truely has been a wonderful move for me professionally as well as personally.

Sorry for the delay in getting this out! I am currently trying to finalize a date for our Q1 user group meeting. I will post a new thread with details once they are final.

I have seen a lot of interest in the forums regarding sponsorship. If you are a vendor and interested in sponsorship please make note of the following:

  • You will NOT be given a list of attendees or registrations. You can collect business cards for prize drawings (if you provide the prizes)

  • This is NOT a sales forum, it is a user group meeting. We want technical demonstrations and discussions, NOT sales.

  • There will be a 1 hour limit to sponsor presentations and are subject to content preapproval.

  • If you want to sponsor, please do the following:

Please provide your company and contact information along with your proposed sponsorship budget / giveaways
Based on sponsorship dollars, we may need to combine sponsors to support the size of our user group (please let me know if you object to co-sponsoring with another company)
I will compile a database of sponsors for planning future meetings

Thanks for your patience.

best regards.................Bruce

Unfortunately, since becoming a VMware partner, I'm also unable to coordinate the meetings, although I'll always be there and will help out in whatever ways I can within the group's bylaws.
