Does anyone have documentation on how to create groups for VCB?

Are you talking groups of users or VMs?

If you are talking VMs, you would need a separate job for each VM. You could create a script to include multiple VMs. You could also group VMs in folders withing virtual center and use Vizioncore vRanger to back up all VMs in a folder.

We use both vRanger (small ESX clusters) and VCB by itself. The VCB alone is due to a large ESX cluster where vRanger would be well overpriced. Once VCB is configured, you just need to script the process and then run the script. Look at the included script in VCB called pre-command.wsf - you can put it into a batch file and just copy the line for each server. This way, you just have to run the batch file.
