…if Fusion is running the CISCO client isn't launching anymore.

workaround:
Suspend Fusion (takes very long now)
stop Fusion services (sudo /Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Fusion/boot.sh --stop)
launch CISCO
start Fusion services (sudo /Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Fusion/boot.sh --start)
launch Fusion
open VM again
