I have problems with install: mouse, sound, and Unity. Macbook core 2 duo 10.4.10
1. Mouse is jerky. I have Logitech V 270. Works fine on Mac. Windows control panel settings for mouse have no effect.
2. I cannot get sound on VMWF. Sound normal on Mac. I have done the following:
For Sound Setting please follow the below steps:
1. Make sure the sound setting in host are fine
2. Please go to Fusion setting and "Removable Devices"
3. Then click on "Sound" and select "Connected"
4. Also check the setting in guest OS
If the problem still persists Shutdown Windows 98 SE VM in Mac Finder, Go to
~/Documents/Virtual Machines/<windows 98 SE VM>, Right Click <Windows 98 SE
VM> and select 'Show Package Contents'. Open ' .vmx' in Text editor and
check if the following parameters are present:
sound.present = "TRUE"
sound.fileName = "-1"
sound.autodetect = "TRUE"
Add or Change the parameters in .VMX if not present, Save and boot the
Windows 98 SE VM.
I added the tools and get the SVGA and Mouse messages. I fixed the SVGA issue by changing monitor settings. No Unity however. Icon grey. Is it possible that Unity doesn't work with Win98SE? If that is the case, should I be thinking about getting XP? TIA, Jim
