Hi,
I need help. I'm trying to install Win 2003 standard SP2 on VMWare WS 5.5.4 (host XPP SP2) and it doesn't recognize the CD as bootable. This CD works OK on a phisical PC. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much,
AK
When you power on the VM and see the black screen with the VMware logo, did you try pressing the "Esc" key or pressing F2 to change the boot order to have the VM boot from CD?
Do you have more than one CD-ROM drive (physical or virtual) on your host? If so, perhaps Workstation is not reading the correct one, and you should change from auto-detect to the specific drive letter.
Hi,
yes, I set VM to boot from CD.
Thanks,
AK
Hi,
I have only one CD drive in the host.
