Moving VM machine to a new box.

We ar trying to move a couple of vm machines to a new box. We installed the vmware software, then copied the vm configurations to this box. When we try to start vm2 and vm3 we receive the following message (vmware vmx.exe The application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000142). These are domain controller and are causing a mial issue when the old box restarts itself.

- Same VMware host version? Which one?

- Which host OS? The same on source and destination?

- Verfied that the copy worked well? Got everything which is in the guests directory copied over?

- Vmware host version 1.0.3

- Destination host OS is Windows 2000 sever old destination host OS

windows 2000 workstation

- copy did not have any problem all appears to be copied

Check to see if DirectX 9c is installed on the OS. If not,download it from Microsoft and then test.

I installed directx and was able to start the vm machine. Thanks
