Win2003 VM BSOD in Fusion 3.0.1

It seems i have discovered a bug in Fusion 3.0.1

My Windows 2003 Server VM would BSOD under the following circumstance:

1) Windows 2003 running Cisco ipsec vpn session while host (mac) loses connectivity (be it wireless or ethernet)

It doesn't happen to my other VMs (XP, Win7), they would simply display a Network connection unplugged icon in Windows and then

promptly reconnect once my mac resumes network connectivity.

Has anyone else experienced this?

where can i find that on the mac?

Spotlight don't seem to find any files with the .vmx extension.

Try reading "Where to Find Things : Virtual Machine files" in

by the way, "ethernet0." would mean the first vnic in the VM right?

Correct.

This sounds like it could be a bug in Cisco's VPN under 2003, have you looked for any updates or reported this to Cisco? You could try disabling link state pass-thru (propagation) in your VM's settings file (.vmx), by changing, or adding the following line:

ethernet0.linkStatePropagation.enable = "FALSE"

unfortunately, Cisco has ceased support for their IPSEC client (i'm using version 5.x), and carried on to AnyConnect.

my company is still using an old VPN Concentrator which doesn't support SSL.

Thanks rcardona2k!

Your suggestion worked!

I'll hang on to this setting for next few days and see how it goes.

Curious though why it doesn't seem to affect XP when its basically much of the same core design..

And thing is, now system tray doesn't pop up that 'unplugged' icon (obviously), but the vpn window still shows as 'connected' with the timer running.
