Order of active NICS and priority?

Hi

If you have multiple adapters listed under Active adapters for a port or port group, does a vmnic's position in the list determine any priority?

So, if you had 2 nics and 2 port groups on a virtual switch would there be any benefit in setting one port group's active adapters in a different order to the others?

you're probably using load balancing based on "virtual port id", in other words the first vm will use the first nic, the second vm the second nic and so on. so changing the order doesn't do much except for probably the first vm that get's assigned to a nic.
