cpu0:1024)PCI: 1650: Failed for 6:00.1

Hello all, I have a problem that I don't know how to solve it.

I've installed Esx 3.0.1 five months ago. All worked fine.

Then I've installed a network ethernet (412648-B21), it's dual gigabit interface and after starting, in console I had the error in title.

I tried to install the patch of VMWare (ESX-1003505): no install errors.

I was sure that this would have solved my trouble, instead it was an illusion :-((.

Here there is a piece of lspci -v command:

06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 06)

In VI I see only one interface not two.

Could you help me to understand, please?

Thank you very much.

Denis

Hi,

It seems to be an hardware issue.

Have you checked for hardware errors using HP Insight Management Agents and ILO logs?

Have you tried to check BIOS and firmwares fixed issues on the HP web site?

Have you checked the driver (cat /proc/net/PRO_LAN_Adapters/vmnic2.info | grep Driver_Version)?

Hello M.Y.

sorry for late. I solved my problem installing ESX 3.5. Now I'm checking the network, it seems to work fine.

Anyway thanks for support.
