I don't have an AGP on my macbook. Is there any way of playing the Sims 2 without this? Or if not, how do I get AGP?

I use boot camp to play the sims 2 and all of their expansion packs, and was wondering if VMware Fusion would let me play the sims 2 and not be slow or anything, I think it would work but I don't know.

.. http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/features.html says the following: .. .. .. "Play DirectX 9.0 games on your Mac: VMware Fusion offers experimental support for hardware-accelerated 3D graphics in Windows XP virtual machines, making it possible to run DirectX 9.0 applications and play select 3D games on your Mac." .. .. .. Does this mean The Sims 2 will run on VMWare Fusion 1.1

Just installed VMware Fusion and trying to run the Sims 2 but when we try to run the game the error message "A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed (2004)." Have looked at the other posts regarding Sims 2 but to no avail. Is there anything special that we need to do to run a windows game in VMware that we're overlooking? Please help!!!

I recall hearing similar reports about incorrect colors in The Sims 2, I don't think there's anything you can do. You could try the 2.0 beta and see if that helps.

I guess my last question is probably going to be about "game support" (The Sims 2, Sid Meier's Civilization IV, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Sid Meier's Railroads, EA Spore) .. .. Check out DirectX 3D Applications Compatibility List for a user-generated list of games that have been found to work ... heard a report that Spore works (http://communities.vmware.com/thread/169058). I believe Sims 2

VMware Fusion® (for Mac)

.. Hi, I loaded VM Fusion with the specific goal of being able to play my games on my mac instead of my old clunky PC. I re-downloaded The Sims 2 today (4 hour torture download) and uploaded it. When I finally hit play, I got the error message .. .. .. A required security module cannot be activated. .. This program cannot be executed (2004). .. .. .. I'm about to give up
