How to upgrade vCenter VM Hardware / VMTools

It might be nice to list the below steps to upgrade vCenter VM Hardware and VMTools the latest version.

 

  • Connect directly to the host that's hosting the vCenter
  • Upgrade to the latest VMTools,and reboot the vCenter VM
  • Shutdown the vCenter VM again and right click it then Upgrade Virtual Hardware

failed with error Already disconnected (195887150) If you're in 100 MB/s connection, overriding the nic Teaming for each portgroup to have vmnic0 Active on COS and Standby vmnic1 and vmnic1 Active for vMotion and Standby vmni0.
