Was anything done to VMTN forums to make Login sessions very volatile?
I had to Login at least four times today to continue sending replies....
Before the change, I could use the same session (cookie?) for weeks.

Thanks, Peter. There is an issue with session timeouts that we are working on. I'll update again when I have more information about the fix. Regards, Robert

This problem has been fixed. Sessions now time out only after 30 days. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused by the shorter timeout over the past few days. - Robert

Hey Robert,

I was wondering if this issue had come back. The last 2 days when I went to the vmtn communities I had to log back in. Wanted to double check, it is possible it is also something on my side.

I changed the session timeout from 30 days to 24 hours. By doing so, casual visitors to VMware Communities will view the site as guests, and therefore they will get the performance benefits of having the site cached via Akamai (Akamai caches pages for guest visitors only). I've gotten feedback that people don't mind having to log in once a day. Regards, Robert
