ESX server on Snap Server

Hi,

We are planning on using Snap server for ESX data store, has anybody tried this is there any performance issue.

If NFS is used will be there any performance degradation and will ISCSI be teh best option; we are not planning for SAN setup though.

We will be runing Exchange server with about 200 users, PDC, Mail, Sharepoint server with other file servers.

Hi Vijay,

I have the same issue. I can not get my SNAP Server M4100 to connect through VMware. I think the issue is the NFS over TCP. The SNAP must only support NFS over UDP. If you are able to get this to work please let me know.

Hi Chris,

The snap works on TCP but the issue might be with the NFS version, VMware supports NFS version 3 and in the logs i sometimes i se the error message indicating incompatibality with the NFS versions.
