I get an error saying:
Unable to get the last modification timestamp of the destination file
/etc/vmware/ssl/rui.key.
Execution aborted.

I have Kubuntu 6.10 on AMD64.

Thanks

Luca

its due to missing 32bit libraries

I'm installing VMware-server-1.0.1-29996.i386.rpm on Centos 4.4 x86_64 and I had the same problem until I followed this thread: http://www.vmware.com/community/thread.jspa?threadID=38006&tstart=0

Once I installed the libraries it works fine

on (k)ubuntu 6.10 amd64 install ia32-libs:

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

and Vmware-server install works like a charm!
