Hello,
I've just tried vmware server beta on my new AMD64 with Debian. took a while to set up but now it's working ok.
My problem is that I get the following kernel message and my system respond time is way too slow while vmware server is runing.
Feb 21 03:02:08 wer kernel: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Feb 21 03:02:49 wer last message repeated 9 times
Feb 21 03:02:55 wer kernel: psmouse.c: Wheel Mouse at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost synchronization, throwing 3 bytes away.
Feb 21 03:03:49 wer kernel: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Feb 21 03:03:53 wer kernel: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Feb 21 03:05:15 wer last message repeated 19 times
Feb 21 03:06:22 wer last message repeated 2 times
I've search on this forum but didn't find anything.

There have been posts similar under workstation, where you need to set the clock speed manually.
Such as http://www.vmware.com/support/kb/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1591
Ah, great! I didn't notice that. changed config file and rebooted just now. I don't see the kernel message any more. Thanks.
\# It's still sluggish in some way, mouse on the host or remote login'ed
\# guest os stop responding a while. but this should be some other thing.
