What affect does the chvt command have on vmware? I am working w/ a configuration running display 
on vt7, a gdmflexiserver :20 on vt8 which launches a virtual machine in full screen mode in vt9 and the vmware control window in vt8. I can switch easily back and forth between linux and windows using ctrl-alt-F(7 or 9) and I can switch from Windows to Linux by ssh-ing to the host and running chvt 7.
It's when I try to switch back to the windows full-screen vm using chvt 9 the whole system locks as if it successfully connected to a console w/ nothing connected so I lose all control. I don't think the system is actually locked, but I can't do anything w/ it anymore. Anybody who actually understands what I have going on and is willing to shed some light on this problem for me I would be deeply indebted to. (just kidding, but I would really appreciate the help)

) known bug, and it occurs with debugging builds only, so if your case happens without running with debugging info, you should contact support.
