Create an own RessourceType

Hi Folks, I'm using the hq Java Api in Version 3.2
I was wondering if it's possible to create a PlatformType/ResourceType via the API?
(Background: I'd like to manage 'Embeded Devices' which have only a subset of the 'Linux' Resource Type and some additional Metrics)

In the ResourceAPI there is no appropiate Method. What's the recommended way to create one, is it possible at all?
