    It has some considerable performance advantages over PGSQL?

    It would be better to support IBM DB2 9.7 instead. DB2 requires no performance tuning from administrator and free version from ibm can store unlimited amounts of data.

    Look at table in this TPC-B benchmark where DB2 won by huge margin mainly due to highly optimised write/log code path and HQ is doing lot of database writes and occasional reads.
