using hyperic for inventory management

Any possibility of ever using hyperic to keep track of server asset management and maybe installed software? The output of the windows registry and rpm database would be an excellent start. The ability to configure discovery of custom software would be a good feature too.

basic inventory hardware/software would be a great addon feature/module

To use inventory management software is a great tool but if it has add-on module feature's it would be great.

Hyperic server receives the inventory data and metrics Hyperic agents and stored in the database Hyperic. The server provides facilities for managing your software inventory - which implements the Hyperic inventory and access model, which allows you to group assets into useful forms of software that facilitate the process of monitoring and management.
