Changing Database Server IP Address. How to reconfigure chargeback server?

Hi,

I'm testing Chargeback with vCloud in a lab environment and I'm not using any DNS.

Hence, I've chargeback pointing to the Database Server via IP address.

If let's say, I want to change the database server IP address, are there any ways to reconfigure chargeback to point to the new database server IP address instead of reinstalling it??

Thanks.

Hi

You can modify hibernate.cfg.xml file in the following directories:

SQL server:

) with the new IP address.

1. Installation_Directory/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/webapps/vCenter-CB/WEB-INF/classes

2. Installation_Directory/DataCollector-Embedded/classes

If you have installed and configured more than one data collector instance for a single vCenter Chargeback

database, you need to change the hibernate.cfg.xml file to each of the corresponding data collector folders.

Hemanth
