Failed to remove VM from SVI inventory - null

In View Manager 4.0 I have one view desktop (that was part of a desktop pool that has been deleted from disk, along with the machine itself obviously) that will not go away no matter how many times I try to remove it. The other desktops that were part of this pool deleted with no issues.

If I look at the event log when trying to remove it, these are the entries:

Info:

(RePropagate cn=vdi_admin,ou=server groups,dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int) Pool control for desktop vdi_admin is deleting VM VDI_ADMIN1

Warning:
Failed to remove VM: /Offwire Datacenter/vm/VDI_ADMIN1 from SVI inventory - null

Hi Azhskr. Does this error occur even after a restart of the VDI/View service?

Regards

Owen

Yes, the VM was a linked clone, as were the other desktops in this pool that deleted successfully.

You may be able to use view manager commands (C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\bin\vdmadmin.exe) in format vdmadmin If you found this or any other post helpful please consider the use of the Helpful/Correct buttons to award points

Yeah, i've come across that document before. It tells you how to view orphaned machines (orphaned as in unentitled) but doesn't tell you how to remove the listing completely from view manager.
