I created the following Blueprint document for the 410 exam. I used this document as my study guide, and I’m happy to report that I passed the exam.
Although the document contains a lot of information, it does not cover everything that could be asked on the exam. My recommendation for those looking to be the most prepared, is to use the attached document and also read each linked VMware PDF in its entirety. Yes… I know that is A LOT to read. But believe me, it will payoff come exam time.
I hope this helps those of you who are currently studying for the exam. Please let me know if you find any mistakes within the guide. My email address is located on the first page.

Hi,
Thanks for uploading a good material.
I m making my mind to go for VCP exam or MCTS Server Virtualization. I would be very grateful to you which one is better. Will you tell me what organization look in VMWARE Pro. Apart from looking vmware server, what other duty they perform. What is the profile of a vmware professional?
Thanks & regards
Pinto
The study guide states:
--------------------------------------------
Objective 1.3 – Secure VMware ESX/ESXi Identify default security principles
The minimum password length is set to nine. This means that the user must enter at least eight characters if they use only one character class (lowercase, uppercase, digit, or other). The password length algorithm allows shorter passwords if the user enters a mix of character classes.
--------------------------------------------
Could you please explain how, if the "minimum password length is set to nine" then they "must enter at least eight characters if they use only one character class " ?
This isn't making much sense to me...
Thanks,
-dog
Yes it is Clay - the current exam is applicable to both 4.0 and 4.1. There's plenty of other useful information/links/resources on my blog too: http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com
Scott.
There are some online VCP5 study guides already available - there's a list of some on my blog: http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com
Go to the VCP5 tab and you'll find posts on how to study, my review of the exam, and more.
