Hello,

 

I have with the Installtion ESX 4 updates 1 purpel sceen with mistake code Panic from of another CPU cpu 0 world 0 ip 0x4180284358af

 

bios

max. limit CPIUD Value deactivates

in all constellationen tested without occur.

 

can somebody help me?

can you post a screenshot of the error and/or the /var/log/vmkernel.1 file (or whichever one has the information from the time of the last incident) ?

 

 

You could also look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1006794

 

 

Vast majority of purple screen errors is caused by hardware malfunction, so run memtestx86 against host for a day or so, and check hardware logs for indications of failures, too.

What is the hardware you are using? Hope the below KB article would help,

Try re-downloading the download and update, as they have fixed this issue recently.
