the md5 hash values do not match from binary downloaded from vmware server, now what? posted: Nov 7, 2009 5:22 PM

I have downloaded the proper file, ran the md5 utility to confirm the hash value and they do not match. I installed vmware anyway and get the icon to log onto the vmware website. Why I do not know. Can someone tell me what is going on her??

The download really has to match the md5 sum. Unless your md5 application isn't working (you're not telling us any details, like if you are using windows or linux) I would say that your download is broken. With a broken setup anything can go wrong...
