Hi ,

Is vsphere client is supported on windows server 2008 enterprise R2?
because I ended with error

"The type initializer for VirtualInfrastructure.Utils.HttpWebRequestProxy' threw an exception."

when trying to connect to vcenter or esx.....

the KB for similar error "http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1011329" speaks abt the Win 7 ?

Any help? or alternate or patch to fix?

I have already seen it....
its compatible with win ser 2008 but how abt 2008 R2?
because after installing am getting the above said error.....

Until now R2 is not supported, so just use 2008 without R2, or take an 2003 Server.
