I just installed Workstation 7 (upgraded from 6)... WS6 took 1-2 seconds to start, WS7 is taking a painful 10-12 seconds to start (on the same computer). I am referring to the start time of the WS application itself.

Is this a known issue? Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

thats normal - you may improve startup-time by disabling all automatic updates in preferences.
