SPECweb Wont install on Webserver Template posted: Nov 4, 2009 11:12 AM

I just got the SPEC web CD. I have the Webserve template running and when i try to load setup.jar it fails and says it cannot open the file.

I installed the latest version of Java on the machine and when I double click setup.jar it loads the splash screen, i select a language and then the progress bar goes to 75% and then hangs for ever.

Any ideas??? Did i miss a step when configuring the template?

any help is appreciated!

The installshield used in the SPECweb2005 kit is old and cranky - a couple of options:

try from command prompt / terminal window: java -jar setup.jar -console

Also, may have more success with a 32-bit jvm.
