I sat my Enterprise Admin exam yesterday and found it a bit frustrating TBH. Obviously I might've passed so don't want to say too much, and I don't really know how much I can say about the exam itself.

Is there any defence against potential misconfig of the lab environment? I also found some of the lab questions very vague.

Like I say, if I pass then c'est la vie, but if I don't I'd like to get some feedback from the test creators (offline obviously).

I would suggest you contact the vcdx certification team about this, this kind of feedback is what improves the program.

When dealing with the cert team you can. here you can't as it would violate the signed agreement.

I sat the exam last Thursday and I can share the frustration of the original poster, I feel I messed up the labs based on lab wording that you would NEVER in a million years come across in a real life scenario. It is my own fault completely for messing it up but it was very frustrating coming out knowing I had mis-intepreted the lab.

I am also in the situation where I have to wait and see with the result now but I am not optimistic...

Is there a reason VMware only allow this exam to be taken in certain test centers globally?? I had to travel to the UK to the take it, I am based in Ireland.

As you know, VMware only allow certain individuals who they have validated to register and take the VCDX exams, they have rolled out the exams only to testing centres run directly by Pearson Vue to protect the exam content from being "distributed" - think Test King etc.... Also the lab element of the Enterprise Admin exam requires a degree of internet connectivity beyond that normally required for a company to become a Pearson Vue testing centre.

yeah, I understand the need to protect the exam and to keep the certification aimed at a certain level. I suppose it will teach me to take more time in future!!

Hopefully I won't be on ryanair.com and the pearson site to book it again in a couple of weeks, I live in hope!! VCP4 to do anyway in the meantime!!!

I had to wait a couple of weeks, so 7-10 working days sounds about right...

I got my score in exactly 16 days from the exam date. I have sent an email for design exam scheduling hopefully that is under consideration by the cert team and I can give the design defense.

Thanks,
Samir

I thought the lab questions were quite clever to be honest. I hadn't studied nearly hard enough to remember the precise syntax needed, but I think the effort and methodology counts for something! I'm assuming they actually record the lab session rather than just reviewing the end result to see your working knowledge, but I could be wrong.

Vague, confusing and sometimes frustrating, maybe, but in my experience, that's customers for you! ;)

I got my results today, 3 weeks to the day after sitting the exam. Hoping to get the Design Exam booked soon as I can now, maybe even this side of Christmas!

The vExpert bit is a community award, not a certification.
