OK, I'm in Unity, I have a browser open. How do I switch back to full screen?!?

Before version 3, the Mac menu bar was always the VMWare menu bar while a Windows app was active, so I just selected View/Full Screen.

In version 3, an Internet Explorer menu bar is displayed, so if I want to switch to full screen, I have to do the following:

  • click on VMWare Fusion in the dock
  • this will always reopen the Virtual Machine Library window (even if I had closed that before, I don't need to see it all the time) -- this used to focus the currently active Windows app, which is a much more sensible thing to do
  • select View/Full Screen
  • select and close the Virtual Machine Library again

Frustrating.

Unless you've turned off the Applications menulet, select your virtual machine (if it's not already selected) and choose View > Full Screen. You could also use the shortcut cmd-ctrl-return.
