I upgraded (?) to Fusion 3.0 in support of Windows 7.

The Windows 7 VM performs OK. No particular problems.

I have an existing Windows XP VM that performed superbly under Fusion 2.0. Under Fusion 3.0, the performance is slower than glacial. It has taken more than 5 hours (!) simply to install the new tools.

What gives?

Leopard or Snow Leopard? I've seen something simiar.

I have two otherwise identical machines.. on the Snow Leopard machine Win7 is reasonably snappy, boots in under a minute and runs OK.

However under Leopard the boot time has increased to over 5 minutes, runs like a dog, and completely cripples the host OS when running. Under Fusion 2 it ran OK.

Another -1 for Fusion 3. My Boot Camp Windows 7 VM is glacial on my Mac Pro (10.6.1). Aero is a joke! It brings back the (bad) memories of Virtual PC in the mid 90s.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the next 30 days, otherwise I'm not upgrading. I'll run Win 7 under Boot Camp for Office 2007, and Win 2K under Fusion 2.05 (yes, I'm going back to 2.05!) for Quicken.
