Hello, is there a way to have support for international character support for example German. The word "Anschließend" is not properly displayed in the Welcome Text box and it also seems to have problems if the text is too wide or too long, it does not even include scroll bars.

Also, any way of selecting the language for the installation to be other than English? In my case I am trying to create a German VM.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Regards,

There is a help text in right side corner of VMware Studio, as per this help information there is a limitation for welcome text length. Following is the help information.

"This information provides a brief introduction to your virtual appliance. You could supply instructions to the user on how to access your application on the virtual appliance. This text is displayed in the welcome screen after the virtual appliance boots up. You can enter up to 16 lines of text with a maximum of 79 characters in each line."

The word "Anschließend" is not properly displayed in the Welcome Text box.

The answer is hidden somewhere in system environment variable. Because when I set the ENV variable to german in /etc/bashrc export LANG=german, I am able to paste "Anschließend" word properly in the file otherwise cryptic value is pasted in the file.
