We have been running Lifecycle manage against our test VC server for a week and this morning I have added the certificates and servers for our 3 Global vCenter servers for a presentation to the VI 3.5 page in VMware vCenter Orchestrator Configuration. When I attempt to add any resource from the 3 production vCenters in lifecycle manager, the only server I can browse resources from is the original test server, all the other will allow me to click the + next to the server, however no results are returned.

Is there a limit on how many vCenter server you can use with lifecycle manager?

Anyone have any idea why this may be happening.

Mike

Hi Mike,

There's no limit on the number of vCenters (at least not in this magnitude).
Can you post some more information about your setup - LCM version, vCenter versions, screenshots VI3 plugin from vCO configuration, logs from the vCO server?

Todor

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sending the information. Do you see any obvious difference in the working and non-working vCenter servers - i.e. in the way they're configured in vCO/LCM or in the infrastructure created in them (clusters/datacenters/folders/etc.)?
We will investigate the error message also..

You have to restart the VCO Configuration server after importing the vCenter SSL certificates. These certs are cached at startup only.

And then, in my experience, you have to restart the vCO Service after establishing a new vCenter connection before that vCenter's resources are visible to LCM.

Bill
