View access from Windows 7

Hi,

Does anyone know how to enable access to View Manager via IE8 on Windows 7? When I try to connect I get "VMware View Portal does not support your Operating System".

Installing the Windows View client works ok...

Thanks,

Iain

I would imagine that if you could change your user-agent string in

Internet Explorer from NT 6.1 (Windows 7) to NT 6.0 (Windows Vista)

this might then work ok.

I think you can do this in the registry or possibly by running IE in compatability mode.. try it at your own risk though!

Imclaren,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads there for additional assistance.
