do i HAVE to use seperate IP subnet for public and channel connection.

I want to configure with following parameter

Site1 Heartbeat 10.10.10.1 *Channe*l 10.10.10.2

Site2 Heartbeat 192.168.1.1 *Channe*l192.168.1.2

Is this configuration ok ?

Nautilis, if your testing the WAN functionality then this configuration works fine, the channel has to be on a seperate network to the application as the passive server has a packet filter that prevents communication when passive. As we still need the two servers to talk to eachother a second network is required. In production you will find that you public and channel subnets will be different at each site, routing wil lbe required for channel A to communicate with channel B and vica versa

How the SQL data is replicated if sql is installed on box on vcenter server? is only updates are replicated or whole database is replicated? AsI understand by design SQL do not support incremental data replication so far.

Rajhyd, the entire vCenter databases are replicated via byte level replication. First there is a sync / verify process to sync up the data and then as changes happen the disk writes are sent over to the second server maintaining a consistant state. This technology is fully support by the Microsfot SQL Server team.
