Version: VMware ESX Server 3.5.0 build-153875

After installing ESX3.5, I notices that I am getting a lot of these messages:

IpmiIfcSdrGetAll: invalid version. version = 0x1

I found the post below. When I stop the pegasus(cimserver) service, then the error message will go away. That message occurs in an interval of 4 minutes, and then 6 minutes. The only thing that puzzle me is that, I installed the same version of esx3.5 on an older test system and that message does not appear. I am getting that message on a newer and better system.

What is the service pegasus used for?

Any suggestion on how I can fix this?

What is the service pegasus used for?
For hardware sensors monitoring.

In some cases with a BIOS or firmware update the sensors will work fine.

Thank you for the reply. At first, I thought that I would need to update my bios to the latest. Come to find out that it was already at the latest. However, I did not think about update the firmware. Therefore, I updated the PERC4 firmware but that didn't fix the error. I submitted a case with VMWare and the tech I spoke with mentioned that they are working on a patch to suppress those messages in ESX3.5.0U5.

If you have a Dell system (as seems) consider also a BMC firmware upgrade (sensors definition are there).
