Thanks in advance!

For testing purpose I am using ESX 3.5.0 tiral version I need to check the
storage v-motion. My current setup is like 2 esx servers with one freenas storage
server. If need I can bare one more machine to install freenas. I am looking for
help in the way where I can get the step by step procedure or video how to enable
storage v-motion & perform. Does it require any licensing between the two
ESX servers v-motion works properly? I am using trail version of vc too.

One more doubt what is the use of sql server in VC. What database is stored
in vmware database how it would helpful and for what. Even if anybody can refer
a good article it is good for me.

Thanks

Siva

You can use storage vMotion from the command line or download the plugin from Andrew Kutz here. The Virtual Center database stores VC settings and performance data.

In ESX 3.5 if you have VMotion license you have also SMotion.
In ESX 4.x there is only in Enterprise and Enterprise Plus edition.
