Hi There,

I have ESXi 3.5 running on a DL580 with 4 * 3.66Xeon CPUs.

I am trying to install a 64Bit windows 2008 VM, and after it tries to reboot I get the message (Microsoft one) that the CPU is not compatible.

Is there any way to handle that?

Thanks in advance.

You need CPU with hardware assisted virtualization, VT to run 64bit guests. Your CPUs are 64bit, but do not support hardware virtualization.

You can run Windows 64bit on server itself, but not in Virtual Machine.
Hyper-V won't even run on this server.

You need server with hardware virtualization Intel-VT to run 64bit guests.
