VMFusion Installed: Version 2.0 (116369)

ISSUE: Need to expand MS XP HD allocation - only 1.5 GB left - tried by changing HD settings in VM - Didn't work. Help

MAC 0S 10.5 (160 GB hard drive - have 54.99 left ) MacBook
Running: Windows XP PRO w/ Svc pk 3

Need more HD for XP side - 20 GB NTSF Disk Space have 30 GB VM - Have 54.99 GB left on MAC HD from 149 GB (MAC OS Extended - Journaled)

Have CA Suite on Windows side with CCleaner - so pretty sure no viruses or malicious spyware - all clean reports

--Original Settings for VMWare SCSI allocation was 20 GB

--I couldn't defrag because HD was showing as Full

--I deleted all rollback snapshots - closed VMWare Fusion
--Then Changed setting to 30 GB. It expanded the virtual disk. Now shows SCSI at 30 GB

--I went to HD to then defrag - but HD said NTSF disk was still at 19.99 GB and I have only 1.5 GB Free - so it couldn't defrag.

--I have a large project to do on Windows side - under deadline. Could use feedback as to next steps

Thread moved to Fusion forum.

You have only enlarged the max. size of the virtual disk on your host/Fusion's perspective. Now, inside your Windows guest, you need to run a disk partitioning utility to make use of that new blank space. Read the article in the Fusion forum about resizing disks... you have only done half of the steps.
