I am using VMWare 5.0.0.
I need to make many (full) clones of the same VM.
The initial VM has a particular product installed. The product uses many registry keys/values. Some of those keys/values are created when the product is installed, some are created during use of the product.
When I clone the VM, only the keys/values which were created by the installer appear in the clone's registry. The ones created during use are absent. The ones which are present do have the "current" values in them (i.e. they have not reverted to the post-installation value).
I have used regedt32 on the initial VM but I cannot spot any differences in permisiions, etc, of the ones being cloned and those which are not.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance
Paul
