Ok, I just bought all the hardware to build my very own ESXi 4.0 server. Problem is NIC isn't supported. So, I have a RealTek 8169 and I also have the custom drivers. Ok, so now what? In ESXi3.5 you could modify oem.tgz (along with other files) and insert the driver. However, in ESXi 4.0, there appears to not be an oem.tgz file. So, how do I go about adding the driver for the network card?
oem.tgz isn't used for the install, but it is once the host boots after the install. You can add oem.tgz to the install CD and edit the boot command to include it.
