Dear Members ,
I need a 5 port usb to get detected on my machine which is installed with vmware ESX server 3i 3.5.0.
My system details : supermicro : x7dcl-i.
4GB ram ,
Intel XeonE5410 -2.33GHz
already on board its having two usb slots but i need to extend it with 5 port usb by fixing on pci slot , so will it detect and i need my virtual machines should able to use the usb ports is it possible ?
or in any vmware version is it possible ?,apart from esxi ?

Hello. Unfortunately you will not be able to do this directly. You will need to use a USB over IP device. Please check the link below.

A couple more i can recommend.I think the USBANYWHERE is a bit expensive.
Belkin USB Network Hub. This one can connect up to 15 USB devices to 15 different Vm's ( http://www.belkin.com/networkusbhub/ )
Keyspan ( http://www.tripplite.com/EN/lp/keyspan/ )
