Are you using Windows 7?? I had the same errors on a Windows 7 box when running the Vsphere client.

No I am afraid I have no solution for this bug. I have tried everything including compatability mode etc?

Im not sure if this is just a Win 7 64bit issue or a Win 7 issue in general. Are you guys running x64? I have not tested it with Win 7 x32

I have the same problem with Windows 7, this bug was already reported in vSphere RC.

I think VMware is not going to support Windows 7 until RTM, although there are a lot of people running win7rc.

A walkaround is to install Windows XP mode in Windows 7 and install Vshere Client in that VM. It is in beta, but it works for me.

Same here. I'm downloading the integrated XP VM right now. Seems ironic that i have to install MS Virtualization first to get vSphere going :-)

vSphere Client is not supported on Windows 7 per the compatibility matrix (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_compatibility_matrix.pdf).

Yeah, I know. I get the same error with Win7RC.

It's actually kind of lame considering Win7 is just Vista and the beta has been out for quite some time... like 6+ months.

Oh well... I'll go back t Vista!
