Dell T300 Perc 6 ESXi

I am trying to install ESXi on my dell T300. I have 4 hard drives on a Perc 6 raid controller, and I created a 2TB raid 5 array.

I went ahead and installed ESXi on the drives and connected with  the infrastructure client. I am trying to add the remaining storage to the system so I can start to put a few images on there.

However my problem is the storage only shows up between 26 and 45gb when I added it to the system. When I attempt to add the storage the capacity is listed as 2.05TB but the Availalble space is limited to 45.64 gb. Is there something I am missing with this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dell T300 Perc 6 ESXi

Welcome to the VMware Community forums.  ESX(i) have a 2 TB LUN limit.  With ESX it'll used up the first 2 TB and ignore the rest, but with ESXi for some reason it ignores 2 TB chunks and uses the rest (0.05 TB in your case).  If you recreate the array as 2.0 TB - 512 B you'll be able to use that full amount of storage.
