Jaunty Guest and stuttering sound

Vista x86_64 host

Vmware 6.5.2 build-156735

Guest is Ubuntu Jaunty 9.0.4.

Dual Processor VM guest was working perfectly in(K)ubuntu 8.0.4. Upgraded to Jaunty 9.0.4 and sound has become very choppy and stutters.

Anyone else seeing this?

The hardware is not stressed, its a quad core with only one Virtual machine running.

Replying to myself...

Installing PulseAudio (and setting it as prefered) seems to have solved it. :smileycool:

Why this did not get installed automatically is anyone's guess. Perhaps because I did an in-place upgrade from Ubuntu 8.0.4.
