I have Server Console version 1.0.3 build-44356.
My provider switched to VMWare Infrastructure, so I no longer need this to access my server.
When I run the uninstall from the control panel, it destroys my entire "Documents and Settings" folder. This is not a minor issue! I've never heard of such a thing happening, so I want to find out what the cause is, in detail.
My top-level "Documents and Settings" subdirectory is a Junction that points to another physical volume. It's been like this since the OS was installed, and I've used that set-up for many machines over many years. When I run your Uninstall, after completing there is a message box that states that the Desktop directory no longer exists. Upon examination, the original "F:\Documents and Settings" junction has been rm'ed and replaced with an empty subdirectory by the same name, that was empty except for what Windows put there to recover.
I restored from backup and repeated the process before I figured out exactly what was to blame.
How can this happen?
